Terms of Service

1. Introduction and Acceptance

Welcome to Bold Quartz Car Rental ("Company", "we", "our", or "us"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our website bold-quartz.com and car rental services.

By accessing our website, making a booking, or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of these Terms, you may not access our website or use our services.

2. Definitions

  • "Renter" means the person who enters into a rental agreement with us
  • "Vehicle" means any motor vehicle rented from Bold Quartz Car Rental
  • "Rental Period" means the time from vehicle collection to return
  • "Additional Driver" means any person authorised to drive the rented vehicle other than the primary renter
  • "Services" means all car rental and related services provided by Bold Quartz Car Rental

3. Eligibility and Requirements

3.1 Driver Requirements

To rent a vehicle from us, you must:

  • Be at least 21 years old (25 for luxury vehicles)
  • Hold a valid full driving licence for at least 12 months
  • Provide a major credit card in your name
  • Present valid photo identification
  • Meet our insurance requirements

3.2 International Renters

International visitors must:

  • Hold a valid International Driving Permit (IDP) if required
  • Present their home country driving licence
  • Provide passport as identification
  • Meet additional insurance requirements as applicable

4. Booking and Reservations

4.1 Booking Process

Reservations can be made through our website, by telephone, or in person. All bookings are subject to vehicle availability and our approval.

4.2 Confirmation

A booking is confirmed only when you receive written confirmation from us. We reserve the right to decline any booking at our discretion.

4.3 Vehicle Substitution

We reserve the right to substitute a reserved vehicle with a similar or higher category vehicle at no additional charge if the reserved vehicle becomes unavailable.

5. Payment Terms

5.1 Payment Methods

We accept major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express). Debit cards are not accepted for vehicle collection but may be used for online bookings.

5.2 Security Deposit

A security deposit will be authorised on your credit card at the time of rental. The deposit amount varies by vehicle category and rental duration.

5.3 Additional Charges

You are responsible for all charges incurred during the rental period, including but not limited to:

  • Fuel charges if vehicle is not returned with the same fuel level
  • Late return fees
  • Traffic violations and fines
  • Damage or loss charges
  • Cleaning fees
  • Toll charges

6. Vehicle Collection and Return

6.1 Collection

Vehicle collection must be made during our operating hours. The renter must be present with all required documentation. We reserve the right to refuse vehicle release if requirements are not met.

6.2 Vehicle Inspection

You have the right to inspect the vehicle before acceptance. Any existing damage should be noted on the rental agreement. Failure to note damage may result in charges upon return.

6.3 Return

Vehicles must be returned to the agreed location during operating hours unless alternative arrangements have been made. Late returns will incur additional charges.

7. Use of Vehicle

7.1 Permitted Use

The vehicle may only be used for lawful purposes and normal passenger transportation. The vehicle must not be used for:

  • Commercial transportation or delivery services
  • Racing, rallying, or competitive events
  • Towing or pushing other vehicles
  • Off-road driving
  • Transportation of hazardous materials
  • Illegal activities

7.2 Geographic Restrictions

Unless specifically authorised, vehicles may not be taken outside the United Kingdom. Special permission and additional insurance may be required for European travel.

7.3 Driver Restrictions

Only authorised drivers listed on the rental agreement may operate the vehicle. Additional drivers must meet all eligibility requirements and be added to the agreement for an additional fee.

8. Insurance and Liability

8.1 Included Insurance

All rentals include comprehensive insurance with collision damage waiver (CDW) subject to terms and conditions. Coverage details will be provided at the time of rental.

8.2 Excess Liability

The renter is liable for damage costs up to the excess amount specified in the rental agreement. Additional insurance options are available to reduce or eliminate excess liability.

8.3 Exclusions

Insurance does not cover:

  • Damage caused by negligence or misuse
  • Damage to tyres, wheels, or undercarriage
  • Interior damage or cleaning costs
  • Personal belongings
  • Loss of keys or accessories
  • Damage caused by unauthorised drivers

9. Cancellation and Modifications

9.1 Cancellation by Renter

Bookings may be cancelled free of charge up to 24 hours before the scheduled collection time. Cancellations within 24 hours may incur charges.

9.2 Modifications

Booking modifications are subject to availability and may incur additional charges. Changes must be made at least 24 hours before collection.

9.3 No-Show Policy

Failure to collect a vehicle within 2 hours of the scheduled time without notification will be considered a no-show and may result in cancellation charges.

10. Force Majeure

We shall not be liable for any failure to perform our obligations due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to:

  • Natural disasters
  • Government actions or regulations
  • War or terrorism
  • Strikes or labour disputes
  • Pandemics or health emergencies

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the rental charges paid by you. We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, business interruption, or personal injury not caused by our negligence.

12. Data Protection

Your personal information will be processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data protection laws. By using our services, you consent to the collection and use of your information as described in our Privacy Policy.

13. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of our services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

14. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

15. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Updated Terms will be posted on our website with the revision date. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
